Rome and the Amalfi Coast have been one of the most popular regions I have been booking and I am so glad I was able to experience this hotspot for myself, along with a return visit to my favourite places, Nice and the Cote d’Azur.

We spent 5 nights in Sorrento, which made for the perfect base for exploring the Amalfi Coast area. Sorrento was a delight to stay in and had a ton of restaurants and shops to check out. From Sorrento, we took day trips to the ruins of Pompeii,  the island of Capri, and the iconic town of Positano, which lived up to all the social media hype. We then continued to Rome, a perfect contrast from the coastal life. For a big city, Rome felt very walkable as the city is built around its historic tourist attractions. After visiting Rome and the Amalfi Coast, I can see why it is so sought after!

Nice and the Cote d’Azur still amazes me though, with all the places there are to explore in the region, and the city’s laid back coastal vibe. I truly think it’s a hidden gem.
