Licensing and Regulations

Ellison Travel & Tours is a proud member of both TICO & BPCPA. We know of no other consumer protection plans in the world, today, that can match these plans.

#37951 Consumer Protection BC is a not-for-profit corporation that protects consumers and encourages a fair marketplace in BC. The Travel Assurance Fund (TAF) provides a possible source of compensation when consumers do not receive the travel services they purchased through a BC licensed travel agent. The Travel Assurance Fund is meant to compensate the person who paid for the travel services that were not provided. For further information please visit the BC Consumer Protection Website.

#2392471 | Consumers who book with a registered Travel Agency in the province of Ontario are protected by the Ontario Compensation Fund up to $5000 per person if an Ontario agency fails to deliver services purchased due to insolvency or bankruptcy of the agency. The fund also protects you in the event of insolvency or bankruptcy of an airline our cruise line. There are no residency requirements (i.e. you do not have to reside in Ontario or even in Canada) for the consumer. To receive this consumer protection you must book and pay through a registered travel agency in Ontario. Visit the Travel Industry Council of Ontario website or call (905) 624-6241.
