We’re excited to shine a light on one of our favourite Canadian travel partners — Adventure Canada.

If you’ve never heard of them, here’s the short version: small ships, remote destinations, and the kind of travel experiences that are genuinely hard to put into words. Think Zodiac landings on Arctic shorelines, whale sightings off the coast of Newfoundland, and evenings spent listening to an Indigenous storyteller under an open sky. Adventure Canada has been crafting expeditions like these for over 35 years.

Adventure Canada specialises in small ship expeditions to some of the most remote and remarkable destinations on earth, including the Canadian Arctic, Newfoundland and Labrador, Greenland, and Patagonia. With vessels carrying fewer than 200 guests and expedition teams that include Indigenous guides, naturalists, historians, and artists, their voyages are designed for travellers who want more than a scenic backdrop — they want to understand where they are.

What we love most about Adventure Canada is how deeply Canadian they are — not just in where they go, but in how they operate. Their expedition teams bring together naturalists, artists, historians, and Indigenous knowledge keepers who give every voyage a depth you simply can’t get from a traditional cruise. And with ships carrying fewer than 200 guests, there’s a sense of intimacy and access that larger vessels just can’t replicate.

Travellers interested in exploring Adventure Canada’s expedition calendar are encouraged to connect with an Ellison Travel & Tours advisor to discuss itineraries, availability, and what to expect from a small ship expedition experience.
