Seaside & Highlights of Croatia

11 Day* Customized Tour for Groups

Enjoy your first day in Zagreb relaxing after the journey before partaking in a city tour. In the evening, feast on a fabulous welcome dinner. Partake in a daytrip to Samobor, where dwellers come to wind down and get their fix of hearty food, creamy cakes and pretty scenery. Visit the local castle, explore the old town and then enjoy a traditional meal including Bermet – a traditional dessert wine, and kremšnite – custard pie and local coffee. Explore Ljubljana, a quaint town in the Slovenian Alps featuring architectural gems from diverse periods. Next, travel to Rovinj – coastal Istria’s star attraction! The town originally was an island, and was only connected to the mainland in 1763!

Many are aware of Italy’s culinary truffle tradition, but did you know that neighboring Croatia’s truffle industry is booming? The town of Motovun often serves as a base for exploring the surrounding truffle region. Learn some theory on truffles and then go into the famous Motovun forest for a fun little adventure, ending the day with tasting the truffles, paired with delicious wine, that perfectly complements the dish! Visit a place that’s often considered Croatia’s most popular tourist attraction – Plitvice National Park. The beauty of the National Park lies in its sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species.

Zadar is sometimes called the oldest and most modern city of Croatia, with its historic old town of Roman ruins, medieval churches, cosmopolitan cafes and quality museums. Travel to Split, one of the Adriatic’s most vibrant port cities, stunningly located between mountains and sea. This place will be even more interesting for those of you who are the Game of Thrones fans, as some of the series was shot here. A tour of Croatia is incomplete without experiencing one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean – Hvar. This place is filled with pathways lined with lavender vines that lead to secluded coves, small fishing villages and local vineyards. Cruise the island, go for a dip in the ocean and its crystal clear waters, walk the quaint city streets and enjoy a delicious lunch and wine tasting!

Dubrovnik is, by far, Croatia’s most famous and celebrated city. Movie fans will want to see the places where Game of Thrones or Star Wars were filmed! Enjoy free time to wander the narrow cobblestone streets and do some shopping. Enjoy the city, its traditional crafts, try out one last café for a nice lunch, or take some time to walk the beach!
