Brace yourself to view an area where you will find beautiful mountains, forests, prairies, canyons, Canadian Badlands and foothills – all in one place. On this trip you will visit Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump which is one of the three UNESCO World Heritage sites found in southern Alberta. You will have an introduction to local Native culture, the history and mechanics of a buffalo jump before heading to Fort MacLeod Museum of the NWMP and First Nations Interpretive Centre. Arrive in Lethbridge where you will visit Nicholas Sheran Park, home to Lethbridge’s only Disc Golf Course. Listen and learn about why Southern Alberta holds history around many diverse groups of Japanese and Japanese Canadians at the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden then take in a guided tour with a private flying demonstration at the Alberta Birds of Prey Centre. You will visit the Galt Museum to explore the history and culture of the region with its quirky and bold, larger-than-life displays in the permanent gallery, and pending time visit Fort Whoop-Up, a replica of an original fur trading fort built in the late 1800s.
