I am a middle school teacher at Montcrest School in Toronto who specializes in science and social studies. I have been on many trips with Montcrest students, accompanying them on outdoor education experiences, supervising on trips to the United States for music festivals, arranging excursions to out of town basketball tournaments, and planning and supervising grad trips. I am a soccer and basketball coach at school and have worked with children and youths in the community as a speed skating and hockey coach. I have worked with Montcrest colleagues and Ellison Travel and Tours to organize two battlefield tours for Montcrest, and have also led other Ellison groups on battlefield tours to Europe. I am an avid reader of history and have a particular interest in World War One.
I love to travel and have had stops in Barbados, Israel, London, Hawaii, and New York. I enjoy travelling through the countryside and observing natural features and farms, making comparisons to the different parts of Canada where I have lived and worked. I particularly enjoy exploring the nooks and crannies of cities. I often do this on a morning jog when I can see a place rise and shine.
Helping to lead tours is a dream come true for me. I look forward to guiding and sharing experiences with anyone who wants to explore the cultures and customs of new places or to see old places in a new way – have suitcase, will travel!
